Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn (born Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn) is an American actor who works in both film, television and the theatre. She has been a professional actor for 27 years. She began her career in the year 1990 with an Off-Broadway performance of The Big Funk, by John Patrick Shanley. The Perfect Tribute was her first TV series a year after. In 1992, she earned her first big break in the form of a secondary character in Basic Instinct. The Firm marked her first part as a female lead actor, playing opposite Tom Cruise & Gene Hackman. In the late 1990s she worked with a number of prominent industry actors, including Gwyneth Palow on Sliding Door Hugh Grant Mickey Blue Eyes Julie Andrews Relative Values. Recently, she was the character Dr. Alex Blake (a police procedural-crime drama) in Criminal Minds.

Lexis was a homeschooler during her senior year of high school. In September of 2012, she gained acceptance to Louisiana State University, where she plans to pursue a bachelor's master's degree. Lexis grew up in an environment of golfers so she wasn't a stranger to this sport that is dominated by males. She began playing golf in the very early years of her life and she became the youngest golfer to qualify for the US Women's Open at the age of 12 in 2007. In 2007, she did not become the champion of the Women's US Open however she did win her place in the Aldila Junior Classic to be the second. Along with being one of the most youthful American Junior Golf Association, (AJGA) winner of the award in the year she was born, she was also the youngest participant to take home the Westfield Junior PGA Championship.
