Lita Rossana Ford is an American musician, singer and guitarist from England. She was the guitarist for the hard-rocking all-girl band The Runaways in the 1970s. Their punk rock sound and rebellious songs made them famous within the rock world. The band failed to achieve major success within their home country of the United States but earned huge international recognition, notably in Japan. After the band split at the end of 1979 Ford started a profitable solo career in the field of heavy metal. She started taking lessons in vocals. The first album she released on her own was 'Dancing On The Edge'. Her albums weren't very well-received, and so she went under the radar for a few years. The album she dominated, "Lita", released in 1988 saw her come back with the umph. It was a big smash for the track "Kiss Me Deadly," and the ballad 'Close My Eyes forever. Unfortunately, the success that she had achieved was short and over a long period of time she was not in the entertainment industry. After releasing 'Black in 1995 and a few years later, 'Wicked Wonderland", she re-emerged. The album "Time Capsule" was made available by her in the year 2016. Guitar Player Magazine awarded her the Certified Guitar Legend Award.
